Employee Owned. 100%.

Central to our entire business is the fact that our company is owned in its entirety by our employees. This means everyone here has a vested interest in seeing our customers succeed. Because when our customers do well, our company does well. And every employee owner benefits, through a contribution to our employee stock ownership plan—or ESOP—retirement accounts.

Employee Ownership and Company Culture

It only takes one person, one act, one idea to positively impact the business. And it all starts with our employee owners. We call this the Power of One. We are guided by our Power of One principles, ideas we embrace each day. These include:

  • Own Your Ownership
  • Protect Our Company
  • Cheer Each Other On
  • Make a Difference
  • Create Your Future
  • Provide Meaningful, Memorable Service
  • Welcome Change
  • Find the Fun in Your Day

Through these principles, employee owners drive the growth of our company. An investment in them is really an investment in our company. With that support, employee owners achieve some incredible accomplishments. Learn more about it on the Recognition page.

Create Your Future

Dawn Mizell, Payables Associate

A finalist for the 2023 VGM Ace of Initiative Award, Dawn demonstrates what it means to make a difference at VGM. She’s been with VGM for over 24 years, all of them in HOMELINK, which connects patients with medical equipment and healthcare services.
Dawn has created her future at VGM, working in several HOMELINK departments throughout her tenure. But in every role she has taken and every challenge she’s been asked to tackle, she’s been known for the support she provides to her team. She’s always there to lend her hand and her knowledge to help those around her succeed.

“I have worked with so many people and departments during my career here and have learned so much from them. I currently work with a great team with wonderful leadership—stay focused, work hard, and you will achieve great success!”

What does success look like beyond VGM for Dawn? She hopes to continue offering support…by one day building an acreage to rescue abandoned, special needs, or senior dogs. Thank you, Dawn, for making a difference.
