Make a Difference

One of our Power of One principles, we believe in supporting the communities our employee owners call home. And as a 100% employee-owned company, we have the power to do so. We call our company-wide effort to Make a Difference in our communities, “Be the Change.” From attending and sponsoring local events to contributing to dozens of organizations, each employee owner is part of our efforts to create a positive and lasting impact. And together, we’ve donated more than $1 million over the last 10 years.

Strengthening Our Community

Each quarter, the VGM Community Giving committee selects organizations to financially support based on a common theme. While we support a variety of nonprofits, the organizations we select usually focus on helping veterans, individuals with disabilities, families, or children.

Since we can’t support everyone, we tend to exclude causes like political campaigns, religious groups, for-profit organizations, individuals, school activities, and organizations based outside the communities VGM calls home.
