NewsHOMELINK Celebrates a Quarter Century of Business

HOMELINK is celebrating 25 years of business and service to payers and credentialed community-based providers of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS).

Serving its first patient in 1993, HOMELINK, a division of VGM Group, Inc., now facilitates approximately 1,400 referrals per day helping to connect commercial insurance and workers’ compensation programs to medical equipment and services. HOMELINK has grown from two employees to more than 400 employee owners. Dave Kazynski, president of HOMELINK, credits his staff for the company’s success.         

“Most of our growth is because people on the floor handling day-to-day operations do such a remarkable job taking care of our customers,” said Kazynksi. “Our personal interaction paired with cost containment processes and dynamic system capabilities are what ensure our clients and their customers have a positive experience and achieve great outcomes.” 

Under Kazynski’s leadership, HOMELINK has experienced significant growth since opening its doors in 1993. What started in a 1,500 square foot of shared office space has evolved into occupying more than 51,000 square foot of office space at VGM’s headquarters in Waterloo, Iowa.

Brent Hanson, senior vice president, who like Kazynski, has been with HOMELINK since the beginning, credits flexibility, diversification and systems automation as the key to HOMELINK’s continued success.

“Through the years, we’ve had to be flexible, add product lines and bring on talented staff to efficiently handle the sheer volume of business,” said Hanson. “We work very hard, but we wouldn’t be where we’re at today without VGM Group providers of ancillary networks and great payer partners.”

HOMELINK will be celebrating its quarter century of business by continuing its support of the SFM Foundation by sponsoring scholarships for children of workers disabled or fatally injured in work-related accidents. They will also celebrate internally with special events and activities for HOMELINK staff.
